Standing Orders
Westerham Town Council has a duty to ensure that rules for administration of the Council are followed. These rules are set out to guide the procedures of the Council and are called Standing orders. Some of them are required by law and must be adhered to; others are formally agreed by Council.
Financial Regulations
Westerham Town Council must operate a system of internal control appropriate to its expenditure and activities. The Financial Regulations give details of how the Council must manage its finances.
Code of Conduct
Westerham Town Council has adopted this Code which sets out details of expected behaviour by Councillors. It is based on the seven ‘Nolan’ principles of public life; selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership.

Westerham Town Council’s complaints procedure covers complaints about the administration or procedures of the Town Council.

Publication Scheme – Freedom of Information Act
Westerham Town Council seeks to be as open and transparent as possible by proactively making information available via this website. It has adopted a Publication Scheme and aims to respond promptly to any requests for information.
